We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a paid on call status. The Medway Volunteer Fire Association provides fire service for this rural community. Like many similar towns, we are seeing commercial growth and new target hazards added yearly. Being somewhat distant from other hauled water towns, we operate basically as a single engine company with two (department built) tankers and a supply engine to deliver water until mutual aid arrives. We pride ourselves in our ability to build and maintain our own equipment and the fact that we are an equal opportunity employer, reflecting the cultural diversity of our hometown.
