About Lakeview Fire Protection District:
Lakeview Fire Protection District proudly protects 4000 people living in an area of eighteen square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Lakeview Volunteer Fire Dept. was formed in 1972 by a small group of individuals which recognized the need of a growing rural community to provide fire protection for themselves. In 1988 Lakeview Fire Protection District was voted in by the citizens of our community to meet the escalating financial needs of the fire dept. We are the oldest volunteer fire dept. in Tuscaloosa County and the first to become a fire district. Lake View is located in eastern Tuscaloosa County, and is bordered by Jefferson County on the east and Bibb County on the south.
