About Marked Tree Fire Department:
Marked Tree Fire Department proudly protects 3100 people living in an area of about 60 square miles. We operate out of One stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. The Marked Tree Fire Department is a small department. We answer about 50 to 100 calls per year. We also help neighboring cities on mutual aid calls. We have approximately 20 members that respond 24 hours a day. We are led by Fire Chief Danny Johnson, and Assistant Fire Chief's Wayne Hendrix and Gary Laster. The Marked Tree Fire Department responded to a total of 82 calls in 1999. Of them, 42 were rural calls, and 40 were calls made in the city.
