We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Lorena Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1951 by a group of men that had a vision of becoming a well known department in McLennan County. These men borrowed $500.00 from the bank to buy their first truck. The department grew in trucks and personnel throughout the past 48 years. Lorena Volunteer Fire Department is one of the largest volunteer fire departments in McLennan County. We have enjoyed a bright past and foresee a brighter future.
