We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Lohn VFD was established in 1978. We have 24 active firemen and 15 reserves. We provid fire protection in a 15 mile radius in the Lohn Valley. This includes Lohn, Pear Valley and Fife. We also respond to mutual aid calls in McCulloch, Concho, Mason, Menard, Colman, San Saba, and Brown Countys of Central Texas. All firemen are active in the McCulloch Co. weather watching.
