About Lake Ozark Dist. Strike Team:
Lake Ozark Dist. Strike Team proudly protects 500000 people living in an area of 100(5 counties) square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Our Department was reorganized in 1983, a lot of our firefighters were on the previous dept. We are a small volunteer dept. that serves and area that is 96 sq. miles and has a population of aprox.1500 people, the majority of the area is in the rural setting. We provide fire and medical first response to our patrons, we are currently trying to raise money to purchase an AED, so if anybody has advice or can lend assistance this would be appreciated. Our annual budget is actually not a budget but a projected amount of money that we raise from our fundraisers, donations, rural subscriptions, and non-member fire runs. This amount averages 4500 to 5000 dollars per year. We are constantly looking to improve so any assistance from any dept. is greatly appreciated.
