About BAYSIDE VFD:
BAYSIDE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT INC. proudly protects 2800 people living in an area of 30 square miles. We operate out of ONE stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. This is a small dept. only having about 15 active members that are fireline personel , This department receives it's funding mainly from our district board which consist of Sewage, Water & Fire protection and membership dues that the community voluntarily pays to the department at $15.00 per year. And believe me, not even half of the people pay there dues unless there is a fire close to their homes, Then and only then do they wake up ! Our mutuial aid deptartments are East Hancock & Clermont Harbor Volunteer Fire Departments.
