Montezuma-Rimrock Fire Department proudly protects 3500 people living in an area of 54 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Montezuma-Rimrock Fire district was Founded in 1969 by a group of homeowners, With a 1950 Chevrolet 2 ton water truck with no baffles and 9 sq. miles of distrct. Today some thirty years later, with 5 fire suppression vehicles and 3 ambulances, 54 sq miles of district and appx 20 miles of interstate 17, the District works very hard to stay ahead of the growth in our area which grew 81% this past deacde.
