About Knox City Vol Fire Dept:
Knox City Vol Fire Dept proudly protects 1500 people living in an area of 50 square miles. We operate out of One (1) stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Knox City is located in the southern part of Knox county approximately 75 miles north of Abilene,TX. Our department responds to a variety of emergency incidents in and outside of Knox City. These incidents include Structure fires, EMS calls, Vehicle accidents, Heavy rescue, and Wildland fires. We also provide mutual aid to our neighboring communities in southern Knox and northern Haskell counties.
