About Knapp Creek Volunteer Fire Department:
Knapp Creek Vol. Fire Dept. Inc. proudly protects 800 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status. Knapp Creek Fire Dept is located 6 miles south of Olean, NY atop Rock City Hill. We are on the Pennsylvania, New York border which lets us work in mutual aid with several fire departments in both NY and PA. We have a full service volunteer fire department with fire, rescue and ambulance assistance provided to the residents and visitors to our beautiful area of the Town of Allegany. The Knapp Creek Volunteer Fire Department is funded by the Town of Allegany Fire Commissioners, donations by the public, and department fund raisers such as monthy Bingo (next game is 10/20/07, doors open at 4pm) and The Annual Ham and Turkey Party (11/3/07). We are always looking for new members! There are no residencey requirements and welcome anyone who would like to help! Our department meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the Firehall.
