Keesler AFB Fire Department proudly protects 25000 people living in an area of 33 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily airport area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The fire department serves the populous of Keesler AFB. We protect 9.6 million sq. ft. of facilities, and an airfield. We have a regional medical center that occupies 705,000 sq. ft. We have 1,951 housing units in 9 housing areas. We have mutual aid agreements with the city of Biloxi. We have a Special Operations Team with specialties in Rescue & Recovery Diving, Collapse Rescue, Trench Rescue, Confine Space Rescue, High Angle Rescue, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Haz-Mat.
