About Kalaoa Volunteer Fire Company 7 Bravo:
Kalaoa Volunteer Fire Company 7 Bravo proudly protects 10000 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Kalaoa Volunteer Fire Company is located on the Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. We were established in 1994 with 5 members and has grown to its present 15 members. Our Company assists the Hawaii County Fire Department Station 7, however, we provide mutual assistance to others as requested. All our Fire Apparatus have off-road capability and have been called upon many times to fight wildland fires. We are trained in all facets of wildland and structural fire fighting and drill with a Hawaii Fire Department Instructor monthly. Our Company drills are weekly, on Mondays at 5:30pm. We are active in the community and assist the Hawaii Police Department with neighborhood projects.
