About Greens Creek EMS:
Greens Creek EMS proudly protects 300 people living in an area of 30 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily industrial area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Greens Creek EMS is a unique industrial service, providing emergency care to a remote island silver/gold/lead/zinc mine. Although we have a medical staff of three, there are many workers trained to the EMT/ETT-D level. That training is provided on-site, at no charge, to employees who qualify. Greens Creek EMS is striving to become a model industrial EMS system. We are currently certified by the State of Alaska as an ALS EMS System.
