About Jericho Fire Department:
The Jericho Fire Department proudly protects 16000 people living in an area of nine square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Jericho Fire Department is an organization committed to serving the residents of and businesses in the Jericho Fire District by providing fire protection/suppression, rescue and emergency medical services. The fire department is comprised of 89 men and women volunteers who give their time to help the community. These members are committed to serving the community by protecting life and conserving property from damages caused by fire or other calamity as well as responding to medical emergencies. In 2001, the Jericho Fire Department responded to 932 calls for assistance.
