About Reno County Fire District #2:
Reno County Fire Dist. #2 proudly protects 10000 people living in an area of 85 square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Reno County Fire Department is a full-time urban and rural fire department protecting an 85 square mile Fire District. The Fire Dist. has 6 Firefighters, 6 Drivers, 6 Captains and 2 Chief Officers of which are paid. We also have 15 reserve firefighters that receive no compensation other than being provided with all gear and uniforms as well as training and on the job experience.
