About Howells Volunteer Fire Department:
The Howells Volunteer Fire Department provides protection to the village of Howells and to the surrounding rural area of 113 square miles in northeast Nebraska. The fire department provides fire suppression, extrication, and search and rescue. Ambulance services are provide by the Howells Rescue Squad.
