About WESTFIELD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Westfield Volunteer Fire Deparment proudly protects 25000 people living in an area of 13 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Westfield Fire Dept has been proudly protecting the citizens of North Harris County since its founding in 1942. Westfield Fire Dept has currently 5 pieces of apparatus, 3 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Chief's vehicle. Our territory is bordered by the City of Houston to the south, the Hardy Toll Rd. to the west, Aldine VFD and Eastex VFD to the North, and Mount Houston VFD to the East. Within the limits of our district, we cover mainly residential areas from 1 to 2 story homes to multi-family apartments, to small wood frames houses with low income residents. Half of the district to the south contain little to no hydrants. To ofset the water shortage for fire suppression. Mutual Aid Tankers are on a automatic assignment to those areas. The department also has within its boundaries several manufactoring facilities, one high school, two junior high schools, five elementaries schools, one pre-k/ pre-school facility. There are several large churches. Two major rail-lines, one U.S Highway 59 (soon to be Inerstate 69). Our intitial box assignment is 3 Engine's and 1 Ladder, which is for any residential fire. On target hazards (i.e. apartments, commercials businesses, churchs, retirment homes, daycare facilities) would automatically get a heavy box assignment consisting 2 additional engines (2 engine and 1 tanker in a non-hydrant area). A second alarm consist of 3 additional engine's, a ladder and cascade unit. Following alarms are the same.
