Horsham Fire Company No.1 proudly protects 22611 people living in an area of 16.77 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Please remember all the victims of the terrorist attack in New York and Washington D.C. No.1 was incorporated in 1914 as a volunteer fire company, to protect Horsham Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Ambulance and Rescue services were later added. In 1980, career personnel were hired to assure prompt daytime EMS and Fire response. This has expanded to four career personnel during the day augmented by volunteers. We also brag of 24 hour EMS coverage. Today, Horsham Township is a mixed commercial /residential community. We have many corporate headquarters in our ever expanding commercial/industrial developments. Our single family residentials continue to grow with the development of the northwestern end of the township. We continue to work with the Willow Grove Naval Air Station (WGNAS). WGNAS is in the eastern section of the township. Horsham Fire Company #1 is staffed with dedicated professionals giving countless hours of time to the protection of the businesses and residents of Horsham Township.
