Homer Volunteer Fire and Rescue proudly protects 1800 people living in an area of 75 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. This department consists of 26 volunteers. Of those 26, 14 are EMT'S. We operate one Pumper, one Tanker, two Grass Rigs and two Ambulances.
