About Holly Lake Volunteer Fire Department:
Holly Lake Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 4000 people living in an area of 56 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Located in East Texas on Holly Lake Ranch, a gated community with an 18 hole golf course and 5 lakes with 1,600 residential houses, condos, and time shares. Our support area includes 56 square miles in SE Wood County. We are staffed primarily with retirees and are therefore able to respond quickly to emergencies. On June 30, 2001, we celebrated our 30th anniversary.
