We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The 40 member all volunteer organization is dedicated to Fire prevention through Education, through the operation of a volunteer Rescue unit and through a city and rural fire suppression program. The city department maintains a class A pumper, Medium Rescue truck and a Rescue Unit. The Rural department maintains a Class A pumper, A 2000 gal tanker, along with a 1200 gal tanker and two 4x4 grass attack rigs which are available in case of fire in the rich crop and grass lands which make up the majority or our service area. A dive rescue team was added in the past 5 years and serves the department with a outstanding record of accomplishment.
