About Tri Valley Fire Department:
Tri Valley Fire Department proudly protects 2000 people living in an area of 800 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Tri Valley Fire Department is located approximately 12 miles north of Denali National Park in the interior of Alaska. TVFD is the main responding ambulance service for the National Park covering well over 1 million tourists each year. Tri Valley has personnel trained in Swift Water Rescue, Technical Rope Rescue, Aeormedical Transport, ACLS, BTLS, and Wildland Firefighting. The nearest hospital is located in Fairbanks 110 miles to the north. Each year TVFD hires 4 EMT/Paramedics to help the volunteers during the height of the busy summer tourist season. TVFD had mutual aid agreements with Anderson VFD, McKinley Village VFD, Denali National Park Fire Department, and Cantwell VFD.
