About Dry Creek Volunteer Fire Company:
Dry Creek Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. proudly protects Over 1100 homes plus a very large private residential school people living in an area of Over 50 square miles. We operate out of Two stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Seiad Valley (pronounced s-EYE-ad from the Yurok Indian meaning Far Away Land)is situated in a remote portion of far Nothern California in Siskiyou County. Our response area is boarded on all sides by the Klamath National Forest, with the wild and scenic Klamath River flowing through it. The Seiad Valley/Siskiyou County area also claims fame to Gold Mining, the almost State of Jefferson (Go to www.stateofjefferson.com to learn more), some of the best Steelhead fishing, abundant wildlife, and Bigfoot!
