About Hartville Volunteer Fire Department:
Hartville Vol. Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects about 23000 people living in an area of the Village of Hartville and the Eastern half of Lake Twp. about 23 square miles. We operate out of one central fire stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. THE HARTVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS COMPRISED OF LOYAL, DEDICATED MEN AND WOMEN SWORN TO PROTECT YOU, THEIR TOWN AND THEIR COUNTRY. The Hartville Fire Dept. was formed in about 1900, and formally incorporated as an Ohio Not-For-Profit Fire Company in 1935. Local community business leaders serve on the board of trustees along with fire department members. The Hartville Fire Department provides modern progressive fire suppression, emergency medical service and rescue to the Hartville area community. Area residents dedicate themselves, their time and energies to train, and respond to emergency calls to save lives and property.
