About North Central Scott County Volunteer Fire Department:
North Central Scott County Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 4800 + people living in an area of 121 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our department consists of 54 hard-working and highly trained personnel. The majority of our members are trained in firefighting which meets or exceeds the State Standards. We also have personnel that are trained in Automobile Extrication. Our department also has a large majority of medical personnel. It consists of (8)eight, Emergency Medical Technicians, (9)nine Emergency Medical Responders, and a large number First Responders. North Central Scott County VFD also has a Ladies Auxillary which consists of approximately 20 members. These members dedicate a lot of their free time to fundraising, etc. The proceeds are then used to assist the fire department in their need of supplies.
