About Harford Volunteer Fire Company:
Harford Volunteer Fire Company proudly protects 7000 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of One stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are an all volunteer department located between Binghamton, NY., and Scranton, PA. We cover over 100 square miles of rural area comprised of farms, homes and woodlands. We recently aquired Lucas rescue tools and powerplant for vehicle rescue. In our district is Mountain View Senior and Elementary Schools. We cover approximately 10 miles of Interstate 81, two truck stops and one rural airport. We are dispatched by Susquehanna County for all Fire and EMS calls. We maintain weekly work/training sessions and have developed box alarms for the various businesses and regions in our coverage area.
