Our primary mutual aid responsibility is to 4 departments in the southern half of Limestone County, covering an additional 300 square miles and another 4,000+ people. We also provide aid when summoned to the northern half of Limestone County, helping protect another 600 square miles and some 12,000+ people. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We were established in 1891.
