About Greendale Fire Department:
The Greendale Fire Department proudly serves and protects the City of Greendale, Dearborn County, and the surrounding areas. Our station is the only firehouse in Dearborn Co. that has a paid firefighter on duty 24 hours a day. A career firefighter is on duty Monday through Friday during the daytime. Currently, that position is held by Captain Shannon Craig, who is also an EMT and a fire service instructor. Night and weekend shifts, as well as holidays, are covered by other department personnel who are trained in the operation of our apparatus. Many of our duty personnel are also certified EMT's or first responders. These firefighters are paid as part-time employees of the City of Greendale while on duty. The rest of the membership is paid-on-call and respond from home or work.
