About Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department:
Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department, Putnam County proudly protects 1500-2000 people living in an area of 36 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The MTVFD is an all volunteer department who's funding remains dependant on township trustee. Budget is subsidized with fund raisers and donations. We average 60 fire runs and 100 medical runs each year.
