The Greenbrier Fire Department proudly protects 6000 people living in an area of 30 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. ************************************************************ The city of Greenbrier,TN. is located on U.S. Hwy. 41, about 12 miles north of Nashville. It was established in 1937. In that year the first documented Greenbrier Volunteer Fire Deptartment began serving the people of the community. Since that time it has grown from very little, by way of equipment, personnel and training, to having some of the best available equipment, personnel, and training. Our FIRE/EMS coverage now includes a community that is rapidly changing and growing. To keep up with standards, constant training and classroom instruction enable us to better serve our community. ************************************************************
