We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Greenbackville volunteer fire department is proudly to announce the opening of the new fire house. The fire house is aproximately 7,440 sq. ft. on a 1 acre lot extending from one street to the other. The GVFD has 5 pieces of equipment: Engine 2-3, Tanker 2-7, Ambulance 2-1, and our new piece of equipment Brush 2. GVFD consist of about 35-40 active Volunteers and a day time paid man. This Department Started in 1956 after the Greenbackville Church caught on fire.
