We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily airport area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Pleasant View fire was founded in 1949. Pleasant View is in unincorporated Jefferson county ,the fire Dept. has always had only one station ,and usually has a volunteer staff of thirty people .At this time we have a chief ,2 Asst. chiefs, 2 captains, 2 lieuts., 1 fire marshall & a dedicated staff of volunteer firefighters.Pleasant View is surrounded by the city of Golden to the west and the city of Lakewood on the east, each city wraps around both to the north and south of us.We also cover approximently 2 miles of Interstate 70 and 1 mile of C-470.
