We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. -The Glendale Fire Department, formed in 1893, has spanned three centuries of service. Since then, many things have remained the same while others have changed drastically. For instance, we still operate on a strong volunteer basis, however with volunteers becoming harder to find, the Department has started a part-time program, staffing two Firefighters Monday - Friday. -The Department operates with two Engines, one Rescue Unit and a staff car.
