About Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Company:
GLEN ROCK HOSE & LADDER COMPANY ''protectors of the rock'' proudly protects 2800 people living in an area of 50 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co., was organized on October 1st, 1901. On November 8th, 1901 the department recieved our first piece of fire equipment, an 1847 Ramsey Hand Drawn Pumper, which was named OLD MARK after Mark Radcliffe who at the time was Glen Rock's Chief Burgess . Mr. Radcliffe left England and settled in Glen Rock circa 1849. The 3 story traditional brick Engine House was completed in 1904 and along with the 2 bay addition completed this year still, serves the Glen Rock Community.
