About Sipsey River Fire Department:
Sipsey River Fire Department proudly protects 1300 people living in an area of 50 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Sipsey River Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1981. At that time the department covered and area of approximately 200 square miles. Times have changed since then and many more volunteer departments have been established in the area and now the department covers around 50 square miles. We provide fire protection, ems services, and search and rescue operations to our area.
