Gates Mills Fire Department proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 8 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. Gates Mills Fire Department was established in 1927. Currently the department has 26 members, lead by Chief Gary Pesuit, Assistant Chief Thomas Robinson, Captains' Marty Slunski & Tom Majeski, Lieutenants' Bill Lentz, Robert Jamieson, and Dave Biggert. Members of the department also serve on area Fire Investigation Units and Technical Rescue Teams.
