CITY OF FRANKLIN FIRE DEPT. proudly protects 22000 people living in an area of 20 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. Franklin Fire originated in 1880. The E.M.S. division came on line in 1978. The fire dept. has several specialty teams such as dive rescue and recovery, Honor Guard and high and low angle rope rescue.
