About Farmers Fire-Rescue:
Farmers Fire Department proudly protects 4113 people living in an area of 34 1/2 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our Department was established in 1991 and is located in the western portion of Rowan County, Northeastern Kentucky, in the Daniel Boone National Forrest District. We are approximatly half-way between Lexington, Kentucky and Ashland, Kentucky along Interstate 64. In January 2002 we moved into our new 2nd station located at the John Will Stacy Industrial Park.
