About Fairport Harbor Fire Department:
Fairport Harbor Fire Department proudly protects 3500 people living in an area of 1.1 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Village of Fairport Harbor is located directly on the shores of Lake Erie and the Grand River. It has beach front properties to the north, and thriving new homes and condominium units on the south end of the village. Fairport Harbor is an expanding community with much promise and room for population growth which is currently taking place now. Fairport Harbor is also home to many large industrial corporations as well, making the Fairport Harbor Fire Department a diverse service with a wide range of call variety from EMS, Residential fire, commercial fire, HAZ-MAT operations, as well as specialized rescue for water, confined space, and vertical emergencies. The Fairport Harbor Fire Department also works in conjunction with a variety of agencies including the Lake Metroparks Rangers and Lifeguard Units and the United States Coast Guard. Fairport Harbor Fire Department also operates an EMS Bike Unit, at large venued events within the Village.
