No. 3: Eynon Hose Co. No. 3 proudly protects 1500 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Eynon Hose Co. No. 3 (Lackawanna County Station 33) was organized in 1903. Eynon is a section of Archbald Borough. We mainly protect residential, but we also have protect industrial and many commerical buildings along Business US RTE 6. Our orginial station was on Main Street until 1970, the station was built on Thomas Street due to Space Problems when the dept. bought a 1970 Ward La France Engine. We currently have 20 active members. We do mutual aid with Station 20 (Wilson Fire, Peckville), Station 22 (Blakley), and Station 58 (Jermyn). We average about 60 calls per year.
