About Espanola Valley Emergency Medical Services:
Espanola Valley Emergency Medical Services proudly protects 16-20000 people living in an area of over 5,000 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a paid status. Espanola Valley EMS serves a very diverse, and mostly rural population. We are an Advanced Life Support,hospital based service operated through Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Our service utilizes two units and one backup unit. The EMT's and Paramedics work 24 hour shifts, 10 shifts a month. We are unique in that we are one of the only EMS-only services that carry extrication equipment.
