About Emerald Mountain Volunteer Fire Department:
Emerald Mountain Volunteer Fire Department protects 2000 people living in an area of 30 square miles and has an ISO rating of 4/9. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. We are a small, young department that is mostly donation-supported. Our district is mostly rural single family dwellings and has 4 churches, one school and a few small businesses. All of our firefighters have completed the 160 course and are certified. Our station number in the Elmore County Firefighters Association is 22.
