About Ellington Field Fire Dept.:
Ellington Field Fire Dept. proudly protects 2000 people living in an area of 3 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily airport area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. Ellington Field Fire Dept. is staffed with 24 full time State of Texas fire fighters. This dept. is also supplemented by 24 Texas Air National Guard fire fighters and one full time paramedic from NASA. Ellington Field Fire Dept. serves the 147th Fighter Wing- Texas Air National Guard and NASA. They also serve the entire airfield of Ellington which belongs to the City of Houston Aivation Operations Dept.
