About Blaney Fire/Rescue:
Blaney Fire/Rescue proudly protects 4300 people living in an area of 120 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Blaney Fire Rescue is an all volunteer Fire/Rescue/EMS First Response organization, located approximately 23 miles east of the captital city of Columbia, SC, serving the #25 fastest growing community in the nation. The department is also known as Station 13 of the Kershaw County Fire Service. Our symbol is the Shamrock, due to our recent Station number designation. We have up-to-date equipment and training, however, members are always needed. Fire response is unlimited. Hazmat is initial reponse and isolation only. Rescue is limited only by our equipment, which is not state of the art. EMS response is at first reponder level to augment Kershaw County EMS. Additionally, rehabilitation on the fire scene is performed by our support rehab.
