Easton Township Fire/Rescue Dept. proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Easton Township Fire Department was formed in 1956. The department was operated out of a 1 room and 1 garage building and had 1 pumper. At that time the department responded to only fire calls. Today the department operates out of a 4 bay garage. The department also has a training room for the members. The department responds to everything from fires to medical emergencies. Today the department has 2 EMT's and 2 EMT-P's that respond to all medical emergencies. The department does not transport patients but provides a first response until the Leavenworth County EMS ambulance arrives to take over patient care.
