About Eastgate Volunteer Fire Department:
Eastgate Fire Department proudly protects 8,000 people living in an area of 8 square miles. We operate out of one station that protects an area that ranges from residential and commecial to agricultural. Our members volunteer to protect thier friends, neighbors and community. Eastgate Fire Department was organized in 1981. It was originally organized to provide fire protection to the Eastgate subdivision. However, over the years has expanded through the process of annexation from less than one (1) square mile to the present eight (8) square miles. Eastgate Fire Department provides fire protection, haz-mat response, rescue and emergency medical services to the citizens of our fire district and assists several other fire/rescue agencies through mutual aid. Eastgate Fire Department is a member of Montana Mutual Aid, a system designed to allow and encourage any fire department in the state of Montana to provide mutual aid to any requesting entity.
