About MOUNTAIN VALLEY FIRE DEPARTMENT CO.65:
MOUNTAIN VALLEY FIRE DEPARTMENT CO.65 proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 200 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Mountain Valley Volunteer Fire Dept, is an all Volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and property in the Eastern Fresno County foothills. The members are local residents who donate thousands of hours of their time each year responding to calls, attending meetings and maintaining the rigorous training demands. In 2000 we Responded to over 290 calls. Our department recieves no tax money or other Government support, and operates only from the donations of our communities. We currently have 6- EMT equipped engines and 1- 3,500 Water Tender. We would like to thank our Community for all their support in keeping this Department running. We are always trying to update and better our equipment to better serve our comminities.
