Dumas Fire Rescue proudly protects 16000 people living in an area of 900 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Dumas Fire Department is a combination department comprised of a paid Chief, 3 paid Captains, 6 paid apparatus operators and 30 volunteer firefighters. We provide a wide range of services including EMS via the First Responder program to residents and visitors of Moore County in the Texas panhandle.
