About Dike Volunteer Fire Department:
We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. In 1995, Dike Fire Department signed an Automatic Mutual Aid Agreement with the Stout Fire Department. Stout is located 8 miles N.W. of Dike which serves an area of 26 sqm., mostly rural. Dike and Stout respond to all calls together. This allows for better daytime manpower and puts 7000 gallons of water on the road. Both Departments train together several times a year and train on each others equiment to better serve our commuitys and rural areas.
