About Meigs County Emergency Services:
MEIGS COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES proudly protects 10000 people living in an area of 650 square miles. We operate out of 5 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. MEIGS COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES serves the residents of Meigs County by providing a highly trained group of volunteers in medical first response, search and rescue and fire fighting. Our rescue service is equiiped with one extrication unit, two squad units and two boats that respond to all accidents on our over 250 miles of shoreline and all other search and rescue missions. We also provide first responder assistance to the Meigs County Ambulance service. Through five stations, we provide fire protection with 5 mini-pumpers, 4 engines and 4 tankers.
